Is American Idol on tonight on ABC? (April 30, 2023)

Each week, the number of contestants on American Idol have been winding down. Last week, it truly was hard to say goodbye in those two-night, back-to-back episodes in Hollywood! First we saw the Top 26 become the Top 20. Then we said goodbye to eight more hopefuls as the Top 20 became the Top 12. Will we see more singers go home tonight?

Those who made it into the Top 12 are Colin Stough, Haven Madison, Iam Tongi, Lucy Love, Marybeth Byrd, Megan Danielle, Nutsa, Oliver Steele, the last remaining Platinum ticket winner Tyson Venegas, Warren Peay, Wé Ani, and Zachariah Smith.

That means we said goodbye to a good chunk of fan-favorites including Paige Anne, whose Idol journey has certainly been up and down from the start. While the 16-year-old headed home, we have high hopes that her musical career isn’t over. Let’s hope that’s the case!

Is American Idol on tonight? (April 30, 2023)

Yes! American Idol is on tonight, April 30, 2023 on ABC. Be sure to tune in to the new, live episode at 8 p.m. ET. “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night” will have us saying goodbye to two more contestants as the Top 12 becomesthe Top 10.

Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert is also going to be available to offer up some advice to the contestants. And while last week we didn’t have to vote, tonight is back to it. Voting is now open during the episode, and results will be revealed by the end of the night.

Is there a new episode of American Idol on Monday (May 1, 2023)?

But the end of the Idol journeys won’t end there. Tomorrow night, May 1, 2023, the Top 7 will be revealed in the “Judge’s Song Contest” episode where Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan suggest songs for the contestants to choose from, per the synopsis. The two-hour episode begins at 8 p.m. ET.

American Idol airs new episodes Sunday and Monday nights on ABC.
