6 FBI: International and Most Wanted characters who could move over to FBI: CIA

With FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted ending, here are characters from both shows who should move to the upcoming FBI: CIA spinoff!
“Keen as a Bean” – Wes’ former colleague, U.S.-based agent Tyler Booth (guest star Jay Hayden), enlists the Fly Team’s assistance in helping him capture an American on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list by luring him out of Russia with the help of the perp’s conflicted ex-wife, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Dec. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential

FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted are coming to an end, but there's hope some characters can make their way to a new spinoff!

It's a big shock for FBI fans as CBS announced that both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will be ending with their current seasons. That leaves just the main FBI show, but CBS is planning a new spinoff that connects the FBI and CIA.

While it's likely that the spinoff will have several new characters, it would be fun if the show could bring in some from International and Most Wanted. Both shows boast some popular characters and actors who would fit into this new spinoff well. A few may be too tied to their respective shows (it's hard to see Remy Scott working with the CIA), but others would be a fine addition. These are a half-dozen characters from those two canceled FBI shows that should be considered for additions to make the new spinoff better!

You've Been Greenlit
“You’ve Been Greenlit” – When an American businessman is gunned down in Bratislava, the Fly Team must work with an unscrupulous local detective while safeguarding the sole witness, a fearful tourist from Wisconsin being held by police. Meanwhile, Quinn begins to feel pressure from her brother to deliver information on Mitchell, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Feb. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME

Wes Mitchell

It seems a shame that FBI: International added a compelling character like Wes Mitchell just before the show was canceled. Jesse Lee Soffer was great in the part with Mitchell sliding into a leadership role with the Fly Team, willing to bend the rules yet determined to do the right thing. He still had a lot left to give and should be given a chance for it.

Having Mitchell move back to the States as part of the CIA spinoff makes sense. He could take back a leadership role with this unit and still be able to flex his skills as a boss. He may butt heads with his superiors but get the job done and his maverick attitude could be an asset. If nothing else, wasting a talented actor like Soffer would be a bad move, as Mitchell deserved more time on FBI

The Other Hard Part
“The Other Hard Part” – When a U.S. ambassador is taken hostage at a TV station in the Netherlands alongside 70 civilians, the Fly Team is forced to work quickly to find out who they’re up against. Meanwhile, Wes works to earn the respect of his new team, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Oct. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day

Cameron Vo

One of only two Season 1 cast members left on FBI: International, Vinessa Vidotto has been a good face as Cameron Vo. The tough agent has survived being shot and other dangers and kept on going while willing to push back against red tape to see justice done. Her taking up leadership of the Fly Team seemed inevitable and a shame it won't happen.

Thus, moving Vo to the CIA spinoff is a good bet. Her international experience gives her an edge in some cases, and she could handle the undercover work. Vo could see this as an excellent opportunity for her career and fans would love to see her continue to kick butt in exciting missions stateside.

June
“June” – The Fly Team, with the help of their new intel analyst, Special Agent Amanda Tate (new series regular Christina Wolfe), works to clean up the pieces left behind after a massive explosion rocks headquarters and their key suspect slips away, on the third season premiere of FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Feb. 13 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential

Jamie Kellett

This could be an unusual but entertaining bit to bring back Heida Reed as original FBI: International member Jamie Kellett. When last seen in the season 3 premiere, Kellett was heading back to the States for a special mission. It's thus logical that Kellett ended up being assigned to this CIA task force and uses her experience well for it.

Kellett is a great agent with plenty of contacts around the world to help with cases. She may be a bit more relaxed being back in the U.S. Also, it's possible her CIA connections could help her find lost ex-boyfriend Scott Forrester and bring that subplot to a close. Reed could be lured back to the FBI franchise and in a better way for fans.

Fouled Out
“Fouled Out” – After the Fugitive Task Force mobilizes to help apprehend an active shooter on a college campus in Queens, they find themselves in the middle of the glitzy world of college basketball. Also, Barnes and Charlotte attempt to work on their relationship, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, March 26 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers

Sheryll Barnes

FBI: Most Wanted has seen Sheryll Barnes go through ups and downs. She's lost her marriage and it's hard to reconnect with her family while wrestling with some tough cases. Barnes could use a fresh start away from this tough life of chasing fugitives and settling down in one city could help her get partial custody of her kid.

Barnes does have some great instincts on the job and empathy to help others. This CIA spinoff could use her heart and maybe even give her a new love interest. The feisty Barnes deserves a chance for a new start and the CIA spinoff can give her one.

Pageantry
“Pageantry” – When an international beauty queen is killed on live television, the Fugitive Task Force heads to Philadelphia to hunt down the killer. Meanwhile, Hana senses that Ethan is hiding something, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). Hana Gibson

FBI: CIA is going to need a top hacker and Hana Gibson is one of the best. Keisha Castle-Hughes has provided a good heart to FBI: Most Wanted as Hanna escaped a childhood of abuse to join the FBI and an ace with computers. She's also tough in the field, as proven when she fought to escape some kidnappers.

Hana has crossed a few lines, like going after an online pedophile, which drove the guy to a dark fate. Yet she provides some nice humor which a new spinoff could use, and it would save introducing a different hacker character, with Hanna relishing a chance to play on a bigger field.

Descent
“Descent” - The suspected suicide of a former Assistant United States Attorney puts the team onto an airline whistleblower scandal. But when the investigation uncovers a sinister terrorist plot hacking the computer systems of airlines, they must race to stop planes falling out of the sky. Dealing with the memory of his brother, who was a victim of the 9/11, the case pushes Scola hard to prevent another catastrophe, on FBI, Tuesday, Jan. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and

Nina Chase

While many are more hopeful that Shantel VanSanten could make her way to FBI itself, she might be better on the spinoff. It would be lovely to have Nina and Scola (John Boyd) share time on screen, but the FBI would have some rules on parents working together. Instead, Nina being part of the CIA spinoff keeps her in New York, just on a different career.

She and Boyd can still work together, and it may be fun if the FBI and CIA are at odds on a case. VanSanten would be a great addition to any future FBI series and bring a few Most Wanted fans over to the CIA spinoff.

FBI airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
