Filming on Fire Country season 2 is underway! Of course, this means that we're going to start hearing about cast additions as production continues into April 2024. We ended the first season knowing that we wouldn't see the return of:

  • Jade Pettyjohn as Riley Leone
  • Tom Pickett as Charlie
  • Fiona Rene as Rebecca Lee
  • Zach Tinker as Collin O'Reilly

The storylines for the four actors had run their course on the series. The Leones were able to heal from the loss of Riley and how the aftermath of her death tore their family apart. Charlie, who nearly lost his life on his last day as a Three Rock inmate firefighter, finished out his sentence and was able to go home to his family. Rebecca Lee, however, wasn't as fortunate as she died tragically after helping to save Eve's life. Lastly, Collin was revealed to be a fraud and a serial arsonist. He was subsequently arrested for his involvement in several crimes.

Rafael De la Fuente has signed on as a guest star for three episodes early in season 2. He's playing Diego, a paramedic/firefighter training Gabriela Perez for her paramedic certification. Diego is a veteran who served in Afghanistan. He's described as motivated and charming. He'll have an easy camaraderie with Gabi and also be pushing her past her limits on the job.

Sabina Gadecki confirmed on her Instagram that she is returning as Cara in Fire Country's second season. I'm glad to see the actress back as her character dropped a bombshell in the season 1 finale. Perhaps we'll be seeing Genevieve make an appearance at some point in the season since the little girl is under the impression Cara is her sister when she's actually her biological mother and Bode could be her father!

Perhaps that's why Tye White has been cast in the recurring role of Bode's cellmate, Cole. The character is an MMA fighter and family man, according to Deadline. Cole made mistakes in the past but he's grown from them and become a better man in the process. This will mark the second time Bode has befriended a young father. I see a pattern emerging here.

The outlet also reports Jason O’Mara has joined the cast as well for a recurring part and his role could spell trouble for Vince and Sharon. He's playing Liam, Sharon's former colleague. The character is described as a "hunky" firefighter who's very glad to see her when the couple run into him. Relaxed confidence is Liam's MO, something tells me he and Vince aren't going to gel.

The rest of the season 2 cast:

  • Max Thieriot as Bode Donovan
  • Billy Burke as Vince Leone
  • Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez
  • Diane Farr as Sharon Leone
  • Stephanie Arcila as Gabriella Perez
  • Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford
  • Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards
  • W. Tré Davis as Freddy

Rebecca Mader, Kanoa Goo, and Michael Trucco are expected to return, however, this hasn't been confirmed. We'll update you as more information comes in. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for your Fire Country news and coverage! Season 2 premieres Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
