This Is Us and Fifth Harmony’s lovefest continues at the Teen Choice Awards

During the 2017 Teen Choice Awards, This Is Us’ young Big Three caught up with their new pop star BFFs, and it’s Fifth Harmony’s best collaboration yet!

Did anyone expect Fifth Harmony to become a friend of the show for NBC’s This Is Us? When Chrissy Metz met the pop supergroup’s Ally Brooke earlier this summer and invited her to set, a beautiful lovefest blossomed, and we have been reaping the adorable benfits ever since.

Last month, Brooke cashed in on her invitation to set and brought the cast and crew homemade cookies. Now, the young Big Three are rubbing elbows with the pop BO$$es. Fox’s annual telecast of the Teen Choice Awards took place Sunday night in Los Angeles, and the young Big Three went to represent This Is Us. The show was nominated for four awards, and Mandy Moore herself was up for a surfboard for her role in 47 Meters Down. While the teens didn’t choose to award This Is Us with any new hardware, the real prize for the young Big Three was posing for a photo with Fifth Harmony. This is the life, indeed!

Backstage at the Teen Choice Awards, Ally Brook introduced her new favorite trio to her mainstay trio of ladies. Brooke posed with Parker Bates (young Kevin), Lonnie Chavis (young Randall), and Mackenzie Hancsicsak (young Kate) alongside her Fifth Harmony members Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei, and Lauren Jauregui in a photo shared by Chavis:

Even though Chavis points out they were all looking at different cameras, it’s still one of the most iconic pictures of all time. Chavis later shared a photo of the Big Three with Ally Brooke, who has apparently cemented herself as a tried-and-true honorary Pearson. Note to self: Bring cookies to set once, and you’re in for life.

Hit television dramas rarely, if at all, call major pop superstars friends, which makes This Is Us and Fifth Harmony’s unlikely lovefest a sight for sore (and waterlogged) eyes. Who knows, maybe all of these continued run-ins will lead to Ally Brooke taking Chrissy Metz up on her offer to guest star on the show rather than visit for photo ops. With more singing on the docket for Season 2, the series is in the market for some musical guest stars. As long as she bakes more cookies, we’re sure they will be down.
