Tonight’s death on The Walking Dead season 8, episode 9, Honor, had us reaching for tissues! But does it top the 10 most depressing deaths in the series of all-time?

Major spoilers ahead if you are not caught up with The Walking Dead and/or missed tonight’s mid-season premiere…

Carl’s final moments and flashbacks with Judith had us sobbing! In my opinion, it’s definitely the saddest episode in the series. What’s yours? Let’s take a trip down The Walking Dead‘s memory lane to countdown the top 10 most depressing deaths of all-time. Be sure to let us know yours in the comments!

#10 T-Dog (IronE Singleton)

More from AMC

Even though T-Dog never got more than a few lines per episode (if any), The Walking Dead fans were very sad to see him go. T-Dog deserved better. His death is one of the first truly emotional scenes in the series, we’ll always have a special place in our heart for T-Dog. At the very least, we can say that T-Dog died a hero. He was bitten and accepted defeat, but not before saving Carol’s life by using himself as walker food while she escaped.

#9 Mika (Kyla Kennedy)

Mika was so innocent and such a sweetheart. Her death is still one of the most shocking the show has featured. Who would’ve thought Mika would be in danger with her big sister? Carol and Tyreese knew Lizzie was a little off, but didn’t think she’d be insane enough to murder her sister so savagely! This scene was even more surprising to you if you aren’t familiar with Robert Kirkman’s comic series. Lizzie greets Tyreese and Carol with a smile and tells them she was about to kill Judith next. Wow. We can only imagine what Mika went through during her final moments.
