With one month remaining until the premiere of the third season of Into the Badlands, the show’s second season arrives on Netflix. The 10 episode second season follows Sunny’s quest to save his wife, and MK trying to control his abilities.

More from AMC

Into the Badlands is AMC’s surprise hit series and will be returning for Season 3 next month. However, if you want to catch up on the series ahead of the April 22nd premier date, Netflix is here to help. Season 2 of the #4 rated scripted series on television is now available on the streaming service.

Of course, if you’re already a fan and simply want a refresher before the new season, this helps you as well. There are 16 total episodes and about 30 days (or 4 weekends) to watch the first two seasons.

3 weeks ago, AMC made the second season available to be streamed on their website, but they set March 20th as the end date. Now we know why. Season 2 of the series expanded the world from the confines of The Badlands and taught us some of the secrets behind MK’s abilities. Season 2 also gave us some of our best face-offs (The Widow vs. Tilda anyone?) and is worth revisiting just to enjoy those fights again.

Into the Badlands Season 3

The new season will be 15 or 16 episodes long. This matches the length of the first two seasons combined. That means the writers will have more time to dive into our character’s stories. This also means we’ll be seeing a lot more action as the show boasts a major fight every episode. They intentionally include about five minutes of fighting per episode. For those keeping track at home, that means the show is 1/8th fight scenes. While this is one of the major draws of the show, it is also beautifully shot.

With the way things ended in season 2 *no spoilers*, the third season will have a lot to address immediately. All of our main characters have gone through major changes over the course of the series and will be stepping into something completely new to them in the third season. Images from the first episode of Season 3 show both Sunny and The Widow on the move. The early images also show us a few of the new characters for Season 3.
