Supernatural Season 13 UK release date: Is this why we don’t have one?

With the ability to watch Supernatural on Amazon instant video, is this why we don’t have a Supernatural Season 13 UK release date?

Supernatural Season 13 premiered last year in the US and its highly anticipated “ScoobyNatural” episode is about to air. There will only be seven episodes left until the season finale after this but for UK viewers; they are still waiting for the season to begin.

Normally the CW show is aired on Channel 4’s E4 network. Season 12 premiered at the beginning of the year 2017 and it was widely expected that Season 13 would be the same this year. Before that, Supernatural had premiered in February, April, June, July, August, and October.

The Supernatural Season 13 UK release date still needs to be officially confirmed but with the ability to watch the latest episode with Amazon Instant Video, is this why we don’t have a UK release date?

Amazon Instant Video is basically Amazon’s version of Netflix. You can get access to unlimited streaming of movies and TV with Amazon prime. All episodes of Supernatural Season 13 that have aired to date are available to stream.

With this service being available could this be why Supernatural has not had a release date in the UK yet? Channel 4 may not want to go up against Amazon and be waiting for the new season to end before airing it on E4. In doing this the network will have less competition.

This could also have a negative impact as well. Those who have already seen it on Amazon would be less likely to watch it on E4. We could also get into real conspiracy theory as well and speculate that Amazon has a deal that E4 will not air the season until it ends in the US. That way they can capitalize on more subscribers, but that is just speculation.
