ABC finale watch 2018: Finale dates for Grey’s Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, and more set
Once Upon a Time’s Series Finale date is officially set, as ABC announces the season finale dates for the majority of its current lineup.
The finale dates are being set by the networks. Off the back of CBS and The CW announcing their finale dates for most of their shows, ABC is following on. Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Roseanne, and Deception are among the list of shows with their finale dates set. Once Upon a Time also gets its Series Finale, so we can now count down the weeks we have left to say goodbye.
Most of the finale dates follow expectations. They’re mostly in the second and third week of May, which makes sense considering May Sweeps will take place around this point. The networks like May Sweeps to help set the schedule for the following season and may any final decisions on cancellations and renewals.

With ABC’s dates out, we can expect to see some cancellation and renewal news come out soon. There are certain shows that are pretty much guaranteed a renewal (*cought* Grey’s Anatomy *cough*) but others are on the fence right now.
The two shows to put in your diaries are going to be Once Upon a Time and The Middle. Both have been confirmed as their final seasons, so this will be your last chance to say goodbye to your favorite characters.

There’s one date that is off compared to the others, and that’s Scandal. Most of you already knew that the finale would air next week, though, right? This is the Series Finale for the show and Quantico will take over the 10/9c timeslot from the week after.

It’s important to note that The Crossing and a few other shows don’t have finale dates yet. They’ll likely air in June or July, and the list only covers the next six weeks or so.
