The Winchesters went to Hollywood in Supernatural Season 2, Episode 18 for a break but came across a case. Here are the best lines from the episode.

When the Winchesters went to Hollywood, Dean did it for a break. He wanted Sam to take his mind off things after killing Madison, but Sam just wanted to work. Well, Sam got his wish in Supernatural Season 2, Episode 18, as “Hollywood Babylon” gave the Winchesters a case of bounded spirits.

There were some excellent lines, whether joking about real Hollywood or just continuing the relationship between the brothers. Here are the six best lines from the episode.

Now, to the right, here is Stars Hollow. It’s the setting for the television series, Gilmore Girls. And if we’re lucky, we might even catch one of the show’s stars.

More from Supernatural

The very start of the episode had one of the best lines. For those who didn’t know, Jared Padalecki was on Gilmore Girls and played the role of Dean. Yep, Jared played Dean…in a different show. This part of the episode just helped to break the fourth wall slightly by mentioning the series.

Yeah, well, he’s probably researching a role or something.

This was a point in time when there were a lot of Matt Damon jokes going around. Supernatural jumped on the train sort of, as Dean pointed out that he’d spotted Matt Damon. Sam was very quick to point out that Matt Damon picked up a broom and started sweeping, leading to Dean trying to cover up his mistake in style.

This seem like swimming pool weather to you, Dean? I mean, it’s practically Canadian.

Supernatural has also always been able to poke fun at itself. Continuing the breaking of the fourth wall, the Winchesters talked about swimming pools and vacations, which led to Sam mention the weather. Fun fact: they were filming in Vancouver even at this point in the series! They’ve always been up there and Hollywood was filmed in Vancouver.

I think they’re kind of like slaves.

When Dean was mistaken for a P.A., he had to quickly learn what one of those was. Sam is the one that has the perfect answer, calling them the slaves of Hollywood. It would be interesting to see the P.A.s on the Supernatural set considering this comment. Is that the way some of them view their assistants?

Well, I think being a P.A. sucks. But… the food these people get, are you kidding me? I mean look at these things. They’re like miniature Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. They’re delicious.

One thing Supernatural has done is keep the characters consistent. That’s especially the case for Dean’s love of food. Even the most recent Supernatural Season 13 episode mentioned Dean’s three-day-old bacon cheeseburger. Well, this episode helped to cement Dean’s love of food with the kraft table.

Dean, you, you know when I ask how it’s going in here, I’m talking about the case, right? We don’t really work here.

Dean would have possibly had it great in Hollywood, even if he only ever worked as a P.A. After a while he found himself pulled into the job. Now if only he could remember he was working a case. That would have been super helpful for Sammy.
