Supernatural Season 13 theories: Are those Jack’s wings?
The Supernatural Season 13, Episode 20 promo shows angel wings appearing. Could they be Jack’s or is Michael going to attack?
One thing I didn’t include in my trailer breakdown for Supernatural Season 13, Episode 20 was the glow of the angel wings. Mary and a few others duck and shield their eyes from the tell-tale blue glow. It looks like they’re in the church, so it could certainly be a left-behind angel or even Michael attacking. However, there’s another important person in this church.
Jack.

As a nephilim, he’s going to have some angelic traits. In fact, Jack is supposed to be stronger than his sire. It’s easy to assume that he’s got angel wings, but we haven’t seen them yet.
Jack is still learning about his powers. He’s still figuring out what he can do and just how strong he is. He didn’t even know that he was going to be invisible against angel blades. It wouldn’t be surprising if he didn’t even know he had wings if they are his. And he may not even have them right now.
Could he earn his wings?
Is it possible that a nephilim has to earn their wings? Could Jack have to do something that will give him this angelic addition to his genetic makeup? The lore on nephilim is basically non-existent. This is something the Supernatural writers have so much leeway with and this could be something introduced.
Could they be Michael’s wings?
Of course, this could be completely wrong. I can’t tell if Jack is in the shot or not–if he’s the one that is clinging onto Mary. It’s highly possible that Apocalypse Michael has shown up in the church. This would suit my theory that Apocalypse Kevin isn’t deserting Michael but part of a bigger trap for Jack’s small army. Once everyone is in the church and distracted with Kevin, Michael can show up and show off his angel wings to make it extremely clear he is not to be messed with.
