Supernatural Season 13, Episode 20 has meant the series has ranked in the Nielsen Top 5 ratings for the last three weeks in a row!

Thursday nights are always a hard night for the Nielsen Social Top 5 ratings. There are so many top shows on, both reality and scripted. For a show on The CW to rank one night is excellent. To manage it three weeks in a row is outstanding and Supernatural Season 13, Episode 20 is that third week!

Gabriel’s fight against the demigods and Mary meeting Apocalypse Kevin helped to push the series into the #4 spot in the ratings. The top two were specials, so if they were ever removed, Supernatural would have been #2!

More from Supernatural

Once again, it has been the Instagram users that have really pushed it for the SPN Family. A total of 515,000 of the 599,000 mentions came from the image social site alone. Another 79,000 came from Twitter and the remaining 5,000 came from Facebook. Supernatural ranks over Grey’s Anatomy, a highly popular show with just as strong of a fanbase as the SPN Family.

There were certainly some excellent tweets throughout the night. While there were mentions of the negatives (and I was among them), there was plenty of praise for Richard Speight Jr.’s directing. Taking a Tarantino style of direction for the episode, he managed to direct himself fighting himself. That wouldn’t have been an easy feat and something I’d love to see a blooper of to watch the green suit stuntman opposite.

Kevin’s storyline was something fans couldn’t help but tweet about as well. Oh, and we can’t forget the use of those wings!
