The Simpsons made history last week, airing their 636th episode they became the longest running TV show ever. No small feat considering how often the series has been complained about. It surpassed Gunsmoke, the series that previously held the record, a CBS network Western drama that ran from 1955 to 1975.
The milestone episode, “Forgive and Regret,” focused on Grampa making a confession to Homer while on his deathbed. That deathbed turned out not to be his deathbed as Grampa made a miraculous recovery. Problem was the confession he made and the issues he caused was not easy to reconcile.

Fox has released the following synopsis for tonight’s episode “Left Behind.”
"Homer gets Flanders a job at the plant, and he soon learns that no good deed goes unpunished when Flanders starts to insist on carpools and demands more from Homer’s work performance. Meanwhile, Marge feels as though their marriage has lost its spark"
