Supernatural Season 13, Episode 22 sneak peek: Will Mary ever choose her sons?
Mary is about to become one of the most hated characters in the Supernatural universe again. The sneak peek for Season 13, Episode 22 shows her making a choice against her sons once more.
"“We need you, mom. We do.”"
Those are Dean’s final words in the Supernatural Season 13, Episode 22 sneak peek. “Exodus” will finally see all three Winchester blood family members together and Mary is already making a choice to put strangers first. Dean clearly and understandably isn’t happy with the decision and it does seem a little odd.
Sure, we all had a sense that this was coming. Mary has already started making a home in the world. Apocalypse Bobby and the Apocalypse World version of herself clearly had a thing. Whether it was just one-sided from Bobby or reciprocated or not is unknown, but there was clearly a thing. It isn’t that surprising to learn that Mary is considering staying in the Apocalypse World.

But it hurts for Sam and Dean. They went years without her because she died. Understandably, she needed time to figure everything out when she was brought back from the dead, still in the nightgown she died in back in 1983. Then they lost her and they’ve spent all year searching for her. Just as they have her in their grasp, she’s picking strangers over them. Sometimes it is hard to understand, but it could be worth taking out the emotion from this.

Sure enough, her point about the people in the Apocalypse World is right. They definitely need her. In fact, they could do with all the Winchesters. I’d put an argument forward for all three of them to stay in the Apocalypse World and take down all the angels. But is that really going to be Season 14 when Heaven is clearly crumbling and they clearly don’t want to stick around this AU world where they never existed? The Winchester brothers will want to get back home to some sort of normalcy.
It’s a difficult one that I’m in two minds about. But this is just a sneak peek and likely right at the start of the episode. Just what’s going to happen that could see Sam, Dean, Cass, Gabe, Mark, Jack and even Lucifer get back to their own world? Or is Supernatural Season 13 going to be a permanent goodbye for Mary? Only time will tell.
