Supernatural’s Sarah Shahi shines in NBC’s Reverie

Sarah Shahi is known to Supernatural fans as The Woman in White. Now she’s Mara Kint in NBC’s Reverie and it’s a show you’ll definitely want to watch.

Now that Supernatural Season 13 is over, you’re likely looking for ways to spend your time. Thursday nights aren’t too bad right now, as the 13th season is airing again on The CW, but what about other nights of the week? And what about when you just want to watch something new? Well, it’s time to follow the first monster-of-the-week to appear on the series in NBC’s latest drama, Reverie.

Sarah Shahi shines as Mara Kint. Yes, she played The Woman in White in the pilot episode of the show, leaving us all while nightmares and making it clear that this show was for those who loved all things horror. Now she’s moved on from being the creepy ghost woman on the side of the road to being the woman who drops into computer-generated memories and dreams.

This may sound a little Inception at first and you will certainly get The Matrix feels in the pilot episode, but don’t knock it just yet. There are some fun, twisty elements throughout the pilot episode and going into tonight’s episode. When you want something that offers a little fantasy mixed with real-world drama, Reverie is going to be the show for you.

The best thing about the series is getting to see Shahi take on a main role. She certainly took The Woman in White to the extreme in Supernatural‘s pilot episode. Now you’ll get to see her tackle mental health issues and trauma, while attempting to help other people escape their computer-generated memories.

Reverie Season 1, Episode 2 airs tonight. There’s a mixture of serious storytelling in the real world and a fun spy game with some potentially dangerous consequences in the computer-generated world. Here’s the promo to help you see if it’s something for you.
