Bad Day at Black Rock is certainly one of the most memorable episodes of Supernatural Season 3. Here are the six best lines that make it clear just how funny the episode is.

Supernatural Season 3, Episode 3 introduced new characters, brought in the humor that hadn’t been seen in a while, and became one of the most memorable episodes of the season. In fact, it’s possibly one of the most memorable episodes of the whole series, which says a lot since the show is going into its 14th season.

There are many excellent lines from a variety of characters. Here are the top six.

Don’t touch my Jesus

Kubrick was a highlight of the episode, even if he was hired by Gordon to kill Sam Winchester. Despite him being the “bad guy,” he helped to bring in the idea that God exists. It was another foreshadowing of the things to come from the fourth season. This line was just hilarious, though. Taken out of context, you have no idea what was going on, but it’s hilarious when you remember he had bobble-head Jesuses around his trailer.

Just Dad. You know him and his secrets. Spend all this time with the guy and it’s like we barely even know the man.

You could tell that Dean was getting fed up of finding out more about John. It seemed like skeletons came out after John’s death. Why didn’t John tell the Winchesters about the storage unit though? Considering the stuff in there, that should have been something someone else knew about! Dean did have a point in his annoyance in this moment.

I lost my shoe.

When it all comes down to it, Sam’s line is one the majority people remember. And it never gets old. In fact, everything that happens to Sam in this episode doesn’t get old–because this was a time when both brothers became the laughing joke in an episode every now and then rather than it mostly being one-sided.

We’re all going to Hell, Dean. Might as well enjoy the ride.

Bela made it clear which side she was on and why. This was the moment that foreshadowed everything about her character. She made it clear that she’d made a deal once upon a time, but nobody took her seriously. What could have happened had Dean really listened to that line?

I’m Batman!

Yes, Dean, you are Batman! There was a hell of a lot of luck in this scene, which certainly links to that rabbit’s foot. What I’d like to know is how much of this was scripted and how many takes it took to film it all.

Son of a bitch

It’s not quite the line, but the way the line came about. This was unscripted and you can see Jared Padalecki turn his head away to control the giggling. There is a huge backstory behind this line and I’ll go into that soon, but everything about the line makes this one of the best. Plus, it was Dean to a tee!
