Wayward Sisters deleted scene: How Claire could have learned her fate
With the release of the Supernatural Season 13 Blu-ray and DVD, some of the deleted scenes are being shared online. Now it’s time for the Wayward Sisters deleted scene.
The complete season Blu-ray and DVD collection always brings out deleted scenes and bonus material. We’ve had a couple of deleted scenes shared so far–one of those should definitely have been kept in the episode! Now we’re getting a Wayward Sisters deleted scene, which was the backdoor pilot for the Supernatural spin-off, thanks to TVLine.
Fans will remember that Patience thought she saw Claire’s death. What she was actually seeing was Kaia’s death, showing that Patience still needs to work on her visions. However, she was certain that it was Claire Novak.

Jody was the one to break the news with Patience later filling in the gaps, but in a Wayward Sisters deleted scene, it looks like that wasn’t always going to be the case. Patience and Claire are traveling together in a car and Claire decides to ask Patience what she saw. It’s clear Patience doesn’t really want to share but knows she has to and ends with, “I saw you in Jody’s arms. Dead.”

For me, it’s the look on Claire’s face. It seems like part of her had accepted that she’d die young, so this wasn’t overly a surprise. There’s almost a sense that she accepts it, even though she doesn’t want to die yet and isn’t quite ready for it. Well, that’s what I take from Kathryn Newton’s performance.
I’m glad that we got the way Claire found out in the way it happened in the episode. While I do enjoy seeing some sort of bonding between Claire and Patience (if you can call finding out you’re going to die bonding), this Wayward Sisters deleted scene didn’t seem to fit with the overall episode in the end.
