Could Michael help the Heaven situation in Supernatural Season 14?

Michael is the only archangel left in Supernatural Season 14. Could he help the Heaven situation? Is he even interested in doing that?

Supernatural Season 13 gave us three archangels at one point. One of those was even interested in helping Heaven rebuild. By the end, we were left with just one–and not even one from our own world. Supernatural Season 14 sees Apocalypse Michael running the show, but is he even interested in helping the Heaven situation?

As a very quick recap, Heaven is crumbling. After the deaths of so many angels, there’s not enough juice to keep it going and it was suffering some major power outages in one of the episodes of Season 13. There aren’t enough angels in Heaven to help Michael with his plan to purify the Earth in the way he did it in the Apocalypse World.

Michael is an archangel. He could sit up in Heaven and give the place the boost it needs. But is this something he’s really going to be interested in? He doesn’t strike me as one of those to sit on his hands and delegate too much. He’ll order the odd angel to do stuff, but he likes to be on the ground.

We’ll see Michael assess the situation at the start of Supernatural Season 14. He finds Sister Jo (angel name Anael) and that will give him the chance to assess what’s going on and the power around him to oversee his plan. This is when we’ll likely find out his interests and whether he’s even going to consider helping Heaven.

Could he decide that having spirits walk the Earth is the best thing? Could he decide that Heaven is no longer necessary? Send the spirits to Hell or Purgatory instead? Does he have the power to do something like that?

In the Supernatural Season 14 trailer, he is seen getting ready to carve. Could this be his attempt to help the Heaven situation in a way that absolutely nobody wants?
