Supernatural Season 14 spoilers: Michael’s plan has to change in the new world

Michael is now in a new world but his goal hasn’t changed. During SDCC, we learned a little of Michael’s new plan for Supernatural Season 14.

Everything has changed for everyone. Michael has now taken over Dean and he’s in a strange new world; one where the apocalypse never happened. Supernatural Season 14 will see him need to adapt his plan to meet the same goal.

During SDCC, we got to learn a little about Michael and his plan. As you would expect, some of this is spoilery territory for some. Just thought I’d warn you!

Supernatural Season 14 is certainly going to be interesting. Seeing Dean taken over by the most powerful being around right now is going to be hard for all. Sam has to deal with life without his brother, while we’re going to watch Michael do some dastardly things wearing Dean’s face. But things have to change for Michael, too. This isn’t a world he’s used to.

Michael is coming from a world with plenty of angels. During SDCC, Andrew Dabb reminded us that the Heaven situation is still there. The world doesn’t have as many angels as it used to, which means Michael doesn’t have them at his disposal.

That means he can’t just coerce them into purifying this world. And he’s not going to be interested in sitting up in Heaven full time to keep it in order, is he? This is Michael, the Apocalypse Champion.

Nope, instead, Michael has to work on purifying the Earth in another way. He’ll need to find others who he’ll be able to coerce.

This new plan may be something we saw in the sneak peek of Supernatural Season 14. It’s not yet available on YouTube, but Michael appeared to a man praying to Allah. There’s an interesting scene, as Michael shares what he’s learned about the human race and their wants–what they say they want isn’t really what they want. Is it possible he’s going to work on gathering people together to do his bidding?

We will certainly have to wait and see. Supernatural Season 14 spoilers are few and far between (and after the way the Season 13 finale felt ruined and anti-climactic, I’m happy for that). But we do know Michael will need to put a new plan in place and it won’t likely involve the angels.
