In comparison to the comics, a majority of Andrea’s story was left untold. While the television adaptation killed Andrea off midway through the Prison-arc, her comic counterpart survived well past their arrival to Alexandria. In fact, Andrea only recently died. She was bitten by a walker in Issue #167, forcing Rick to put her down.
As for her television counterpart, Andrea died under similar circumstances. She was captured by the Governor then tied to a chair with the intent of torturing her. The Governor briefly interrogates Andrea but doesn’t harm her. He actually orders Milton to execute Andrea but the latter refuses.
The Governor responds to Milton’s objection by stabbing him with a knife, leaving him for dead. Andrea is then left in the room with an incapacitated Milton who’s inching towards his death. What’s worse is Andrea is tied to a chair so she can’t fight off Milton after he’s turned.
In the end, Andrea gets one of her hands loose. She’s close to escaping the chair but a reanimated Milton pounces on her. The audience doesn’t get to see exactly what happens but their confrontation ends with Milton biting Andrea. Shortly after, her friends arrive and assist Andrea in ending things on her own terms.
