AMC’s Better Call Saul has wrapped up its fourth season masterfully, as always. However, many questions were left unanswered.

The Breaking Bad spin-off/prequel, Better Call Saul, is unquestionably one of the best shows of all-time. For starters, it’s not easy being a prequel and capturing nearly as much attention as the original, the same can be said about a spin-off. Yet, some fans argue that Better Call Saul is just as wonderful as, if not even better than, Breaking Bad.

This is thanks to the groundbreaking performances from the cast and the edge-of-your-seat stories. That’s right, even when we know the fate of most of the characters, we still find ourselves completely engaged each episode. Now that season 4 is over, we’re obsessing with many questions.

Part of the reason we’re all so curious, is because some cast members are nowhere to be seen in the original series. Naturally, we fear the worst. Many fans were hoping season 4 would provide some answers, but instead it has made events more intense — but we’re not complaining!

Unfortunately, the show can’t go on forever. The cast isn’t getting any younger and the plot isn’t too far away from reaching Breaking Bad‘s timeline. Will season 5 be the last one? Probably Therefore, the three questions below must be answered…

Nacho Varga

We were SO close to getting an answer on Nacho! He nearly die on us and was caught by Gus Frink to have meddled with Hector’s medication. Nothing happens that Gus doesn’t know about. Nacho is most definitely dead in Breaking Bad. As much as we love him, no other fate makes sense for poor Nacho. The question is, how will he die?

Kim Wexler

What happens to Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn)? Something huge must have happened to her for the character to not even receive a quick mention in Breaking Bad. Kim plays a major role in Jimmy’s (Bob Odenkirk) life, she didn’t just disappeared. We’ve had this discussion before at Hidden Remote, ultimately coming up with three possible fates:

  • Jail
  • Dead
  • Gone

Up until recently, jail just didn’t seem possible. Kim has been the moral compass of the series. That is, until she dipped her toes in the water. After pulling her last stunt with the help of Jimmy, Kim seems to enjoy being bad. Don’t get me wrong, unlike Jimmy who is too far gone at this point, Kim has a conscience. Still, there’s time for her to be even more corrupted. If it gets to this point, she’ll likely end in jail, ending Jimmy’s streak of bad luck and commencing Kim’s. She doesn’t deserve this and, in my opinion, ending up in jail is worse than death.

If Jimmy’s life as Saul Goodman gets her killed, he shouldn’t be so happy like he is on Breaking Bad. So, we’re thinking, Kim simply left Jimmy before things got too bad. Disgusted and disappointed in Jimmy, Kim picked up her things and left him. Or just kicked Jimmy out of her home and life.

Saul Goodman

Just because Jimmy is a big part of Breaking Bad doesn’t mean he’s not dead. This is something we quickly learned in season 4. The first couple of episodes in season 4 featured Jimmy in present time. He’s alone, depressed, assuming another name, and…being followed?

Either Jimmy is being paranoid or someone is following him. This is the universe of Breaking Bad, though, so we’re assuming it’s the latter. Will Jimmy die by the end of Better Call Saul or will he be running and hiding for the rest of his days?
