Supernatural Episode 300: Is John Winchester returning?
Eyes are set on Supernatural Episode 300 and the showrunners are starting to tease some of the events. One of those teases is all about John Winchester.
After years of asking for it, fans are finally seeing John Winchester return to Supernatural. All eyes are currently on Supernatural Episode 300 and the showrunners are starting to tease some events that will happen. One of those is the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
How is John back? Well, Andrew Dabb didn’t say anything about that to TV Line when confirming Morgan would reprise the role. He did say that there are going to be other surprise returns too.

One theory is all to do with the time-travel tease that Misha Collins shared. Collins mentioned that he’d play a slightly different version of Castiel. Does that mean we’ll see a slightly different version of John Winchester?
A major hope that I have is that Sam Smith’s Mary Winchester will also be around. We need to see Mary and John together in some sort of fashion. It’s been far too long since we saw Young Mary and Young John in Supernatural Season 5.
The return shouldn’t come as completely a surprise. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has previously said that he would be willing to come back to the show. Currently on The Walking Dead, he admitted that he’d want to be back for the final ever episode.
It looks like people have heard and invited him back much sooner than that. And, yes, Supernatural Episode 300 is the perfect timing for this major return.

The episode is titled “Lebanon,” which links to the town that the Men of Letters bunker is in. There are also biblical references to Lebanon, which may or may not link to the episode. Does the episode content really matter now that we know John Winchester is back?
