Supernatural Season 14, Episode 9 is the fall finale and that means tensions are high. With a plot-heavy episode, it’s not surprising that two characters are returning. One of those was mentioned in the synopsis and the other we could guess from the title.
Yes, Garth and Dark!Kaia are back and neither are that surprising. What is good is to see Garth in the images for the episode. At one point, Sam has Garth held in a headlock but is this really Sam attacking Garth?

We know that Garth is infiltrating Michael’s army. That makes sense since he’s a werewolf and most definitely on the Winchesters’ side. However, is it possible that Michael has already sensed this? He will likely offer Garth a change to Level Up, which could lead to some other consequences for the werewolf-hunter hybrid. Could he force Garth to do his bidding?
That could lead to Sam having no choice but to overpower Garth in some way. He may need to incapacitate Garth temporarily to stop him from being a danger.
Meanwhile, Castiel and Dean are off to the dump. We’ve already seen a sneak peek for the episode and it looks like they will eventually get their hands on the spear. Dark!Kaia is back but will she hand over the spear willingly? She’ll want to get rid of Michael just like the others and the spear is the only weapon right now.
Dark!Kaia isn’t in an of the promo shots. It’s possible that she hands over the spear in return for something else — maybe promise that she can return to her own world? What about a promise of being able to live free from being hunted?

And then there are the photos of what look to be the big fight. I think this is going to lead to the big cliffhanger for the break. What’re the chances of Michael repossessing Dean?
