President Trump’s primetime address is bumping your favorite TV shows. If you’re looking forward to new episodes of The Gifted, FBI, black-ish, and more, you’ll need to wait another week.

Fans looking forward to new episodes of The GiftedFBIblack-ish, and more will need to wait another week. President Trump has decided to use primetime TV to air an address about the border “crisis,” according to TV Guide. The big networks are choosing to air that instead of the new, previously planned, episodes.

Not all new episodes are being bumped. CBS still plans to air the winter premiere of NCIS. Likewise, there’s no news on FOX pushing Lethal Weapon, so that will likely still air a new episode. Most 8/7c programming is likely to be safe due to the timing of the president’s address.

President Trump announced yesterday that he would hold a primetime address at 9 p.m. EST. While networks don’t have to give Trump airtime for this, CBS was the first to announce that it would. ABC, FOX, and NBC quickly followed suit. It’s not that surprising the networks are choosing to air this due to the government shutdown being in the third week.

Now the Democrats are asking for the same airtime allowance for their own argument. After all, this address is about the Mexico-U.S. border and the wall that Trump is passionate about building, the reason for the government shutdown. The networks don’t need to offer the Democrats this, but we could see another bump of shows if they choose to.

All 9/8c programming is preempted for the week. Some 10/9c programming is also being held for another week. CBS has already announced NCIS: New Orleans is being preempted. However, NBC and ABC are currently still planning to air new episodes of their final shows of the night.
