In the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon and Amy get big news about their asymmetry theory. Here are the five best moments from the latest episode!

Last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory saw Raj and Anu work out their troubles Love Actually style. Whether their relationship will survive is uncertain but the two lovebirds seem willing to start fresh. Also, Leonard was asked by Penny’s ex-boyfriend if he could assist in giving he and his wife a child. At first, Penny is reluctant but decides it’s unfair to deny him the opportunity to help someone else when she doesn’t want kids of her own.

This week’s episode deals with Amy and Sheldon battling for credit over their discovery. Also, Bernadette attempts to force Penny to be her lead salesperson for her new pharmaceutical drug. Without further ado, here are the five best moments from the latest episode!

1. “We did it!”

The episode begins with Amy and Sheldon doing what appears to be a webcast. Sheldon opens up the broadcast by unknowingly taking a shot at Amy to the audience by correcting a mistake she made involving a flag on their previous broadcast. She corrects him by telling the audience his zipper is down.

Once they move to the email portion of their show, Amy realizes that one of the messages is from a lab. She becomes excited and explains to Sheldon the news. Their theory has been officially confirmed by another group of scientist.

Once they have time to process the good news, both of them start shouting repeatedly, “We did it!” And as they shout, Penny and the gang are passing by next door and they think, “we did it” means lovemaking.

2. Penny lies to Bernadette

Bernadette finally got a drug approved by the FDA, which is described as an anti-inflammatory medication. This leads to her telling Penny she wants her to be in charge of the sales team but for some reason, she doesn’t seem excited about doing the job.

The next day Penny goes to her office and lies to her about not being able to help. Her explanation: Penny’s supervisor is shorthanded and can’t lose her. After Bernadette conveys her disappointment with the situation, Penny really embellishes her disappointment to sell the moment then walks out of the office. That said, Bernadette doesn’t seem convinced at all.

3. Dinner with schmucks

Midway through the episode Sheldon and Amy got the chance to meet the scientist who confirmed their research. These two gents are played by none other than Kal Penn (Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle) and Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings). While they sit down together and enjoy the meal, they discuss how these men were able to prove Sheldon and Amy’s theory. Much to their surprise, they had never heard of his asymmetry theory research before a failed experiment led them to the confirmation of the concept.

This rubs Sheldon the wrong way considering the men seem to want credit for accidentally proving something Sheldon discovered. Even worse, after a second dinner, he is told these men want to remove Amy’s name from credit in order for the three of them to get a Nobel prize. This puts Sheldon between a rock and a hard place.
