Will Jeffrey Dean Morgan ever return again to Supernatural?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has always made it clear that he’d be up for returning to Supernatural. Was the Episode 300 return a one-time deal? Maybe not!
When Jeffrey Dean Morgan returned to Supernatural in the 300th episode, some may have wondered if this was it. There was certainly plenty of closure, which made it feel like this was a one-time thing. So is that it?
I have a love/hate relationship with John Winchester. He’s certainly not my favorite character but I certainly enjoyed the 300th episode and the closure it gave Sam and Dean. However, it doesn’t quite feel completely over for this character’s chance to return again. There’s still one major question I have.

What the hell happened to the spirit of John, the one that escaped Hell in the second season finale? Many of you, like me, possibly thought we might finally get an answer to that question in Episode 300 but we didn’t. Instead, we were given a great episode that was certainly more fan service than anything else.
So, there’s certainly room for Morgan to return in the future if he would like. But that’s the thing. Does he want to return?
Don’t worry too much! Morgan has always made it clear he’s open to return and he mentioned at a Walker Stalker con that he would be interested in returning for the final ever episode. And that interest still stands.
According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jeffrey Dean Morgan would love to return for the final couple of seasons. He wants to have a mini arc at the very end.
And quite honestly, I’d be up for that. Even if it was just the final episode with some closure at the very end. Maybe a little like The Vampire Diaries, where everyone got to their Heavens at some point and found the people they loved. Could the ending be Sam and Dean dying but us getting to see them in Heaven with John and Mary somewhere — their family all together again?
Whatever the ending planned, I do hope that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will return once more. There are plenty of ways to do it.
