What really happened to [spoiler] in Supernatural Season 14, Episode 17?

We certainly have plenty of questions after Supernatural Season 14, Episode 17. One of those is the fate of a certain character. When happened to them? Caution: There are spoilers.

Supernatural Season 14, Episode 17 sent us on a ride that would leave plenty of questions to answer. Whether we’ll get all the answers right away isn’t known, but we’re still going to speculate, right? This is what this post is about, as we look at the fate of one particular character from “Game Night.”

Caution: There are spoilers in this post if you haven’t watched the episode yet. I highly recommend watching before reading on.

The fates of a couple of characters have a question mark next to them. One question mark is bigger than the other. After looking at Nick’s fate yesterday, I’m looking at the second fate today.

It’s all about Mary Winchester. I’d already speculated that Mary may die by the end of Supernatural Season 14, but could it happen sooner? Is it possible that she was killed at the end of Episode 17?

I’ll be honest right now and say that I don’t think Mary is dead. I think she’s going to be injured from whatever Jack did or he’ll manage to bring her back like he did Sam at the end of the episode, but I just don’t think she’ll be permanently dead.

C’mon, this is Supernatural! The dead doesn’t stay dead on this show. Mary has already been brought back from the dead, so would the show really kill her off, especially in such an anticlimactic way? Considering her importance to the Winchesters, she’d most likely die in some big, meaningful way when/if it does happen.

Plus, it all happened off-screen. I don’t believe anyone is dead until I see it happen on the screen. Even then, I question it. I doubt we’ve seen the last of Mary Winchester just yet.

Also, if Jack killed Mary, there would be no coming back for him. Dean would never accept Jack’s apologies and would certainly never forgive him. Sam possibly would eventually, but he’d be angry and hurt — and would also possibly blame himself, which would tear a wedge between them. Jack killing Mary would mean the Winchester brothers and possibly Castiel would think they have no choice but to kill Jack, and I don’t think the writers (or fans) would want to go down that route.

I think we’ll find out that Mary was injured but not killed. The next stage will be Mary scared of Jack but wanting to help him at the same time.
