Shadowhunters Season 3 Finale preview: The Final Hunt (and a Malec royal wedding)
The 2.5-hour #Shadowhunters Season 3 finale will feature a rescue mission to Edom, an epic Morgenstern showdown, and an iconic Malec wedding. Here’s everything we know from the @ShadowhuntersTV preview content (and what you may have missed):
The 2.5-hour Shadowhunters Season 3 finale promises to be a celebration of the series and the Shadow World characters we’ve all come to love. Shadowhunters Season 3, Episodes 21 and 22, titled “Alliance” and “All Good Things…” respectfully, will focus on Clary, Jace and the team working to stop Jonathan, while at the same time following Alec’s lead to rescue Magnus from Edom, and taking Luke on a wild identity journey. We know it’s going to be action-packed, will wrap-up many story lines from the past season, will make us emotional, and will have a truly iconic and symbolically powerful wedding.
Before we dive into ALL of the Shadowhunters Season 3 finale content released by Freeform, let’s first take a look at what we saw teased months ago that we now know will be included in Monday’s conclusion. Can you believe there are a handful of moments from the original Season 3B trailer that we still haven’t seen?!
Shadowhunters Season 3 finale first-looks from the Season 3B trailer:
1 – There’s going to FINALLY be a Sizzy kiss in the Shadowhunters Season 3 finale. We’ve seen the kiss in the trailer around the 00:28-second mark, but we had no idea it was going to take this long in the season to happen. It looks like they’re in the Institute for the scene, but thanks to additional photos and sneak peeks, we know they’re going to have more on-screen time together throughout the finale.
2 – Brother Zachariah is officiating the Malec wedding and we are here. for. it! Fans had speculated since summer 2018 that Magnus and Alec would be getting married in the Shadowhunters Season 3 finale, and though it was never officially confirmed until last week, we can rest easy knowing the Brother Zachariah will be leading the ceremony — something that’s especially significant after his appearance when Magnus wanted to erase his memories of Alec just a few episodes ago.

3 – In the trailer, we can also see Clary running out of the wedding reception in tears. Do you think this will have something to do with Jonathan’s attack in New York City? Or do you think she’ll be upset over something completely different? Let us know in the comments below!
4 – A trailer clip that’s been skewing my predictions all season long is the teaser moment of Luke being injected with Heavenly Fire. When he was taken from prison by Praetor Scott, I thought we’d see some kind of torture scene the following week, but it never came. Now that Luke convinced (manipulated?) Maia into giving him the vial, we think we know what’s in his future…
5 – Finally, we saw in this trailer that Clary would be consoling Jonathan Morgenstern (and his new bleached white hairstyle), and maybe trying to stop him just with her words? We don’t think that’s going to be enough, but we’re confident Clary has other tricks up her sleeve.
