There seems to be a look of treason happening in the Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5 images. Here’s a detailed look at each image.

The Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5 images are out. They give us a glimpse at what to expect in the upcoming episode, which will feature “The Last War.” Who will win and who will die during the episode.

There are a few intriguing elements to take from some of the images. After the events of the last episode, it’s not surprising to see that two characters are struggling. Daenerys and Grey Worm both loved Messandei in their own ways. They’ll be out for revenge. But there is also a look of treason possibly happening.

More from Game of Thrones

Let’s look at Dany and Grey Worm first, though. Dany’s braids are hanging loose. There were a few comments about how nobody will be doing her hair now, assuming Missandei did it all. At least it looks like the Game of Thrones producers have thought about this. However, it’s also clear that Dany is struggling with grief. She lost her friend and her child (or maybe not) during the last episode.

Grey Worm just seems ready to fight. He doesn’t show too much emotion, but he did towards Missandei. Now he’ll be out to avenge her death and I have a feeling he’ll be one of the characters to die during The Last War.

Tyrion is worried about his queen. However, that look on his face is more of one of shock than worry. Has she made a decision to burn down the whole of King’s Landing? This is something he worries about.

Meanwhile, Jon Snow is making it to King’s Landing. Fortunately, he was riding a horse to the capital instead of a dragon — otherwise, he would have been shot down off it and likely killed — but now he’ll get to the armies to learn exactly what’s happened.

It’s Jon’s first time in the South (that we’ve seen at least), so it’s going to be interesting to see how he reacts here. I’ve got to admit, though, that he shows far too many emotions on his face when it comes to standing up against his enemies.

What we don’t get to see is what’s really going on in the beach scene. Jon and Varys are walking away from the water, presumably after getting to know the damage that happened because of Euron Greyjoy. This scene is possibly going to be one of the biggest elements in terms of conversation.

Varys knows that Jon is a Targaryen and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. He’ll want to get Jon to take up the throne, especially knowing that Dany is possibly going mad with grief.

This could link back to Tyrion’s look of shock. Will Dany learn that more people know about Jon’s lineage. Could she decide to execute those who support Jon and even try to kill Jon himself for telling Sansa and Arya?

To Dany, Varys’ actions will be treason. However, can they really be treasonous if Jon is the rightful heir? And can Jon really be a traitor if he has the strongest claim?

Finally, there’s Euron and Cersei. There’s only one shot of both of them, but they’re clearly ready for war. Cersei remains in the Red Keep to protect herself. Like she’d ever go to war if she didn’t have to. The Golden Company is around, anyway!

Euron is on the water. This looks like it could be from the scene from the Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5 trailer that sees him looking in the air with a surprised expression. What is he seeing?
