Will Kathryn Newton be in The Society Season 2?
Kathryn Newton stars as Allie Pressman in Netflix’s The Society. Will she be in the second season if Netflix renews it?

Kathryn Newton has certainly had the chance to move on since Wayward Sisters wasn’t picked up. There are two projects you can currently see her in, both came out on May 10. Detective Pikachu is in theaters right now, but you can watch her in The Society on Netflix.

She stars as Allie Pressman, the younger sister of Cassandra Pressman, the de facto leader of West Ham’s teenagers when they land in an alternate universe. After the death of her sister, Allie has to step up as the leader but things soon start to turn ugly.
Netflix is still to renew the show for a second season, but it looks likely. Most Netflix shows will get renewed for Season 2 unless they’ve been performing especially bad. I don’t get the sense that this show has, so we could expect a renewal in a few weeks. However, is there room for Newton if the show is picked up?
Allie’s storyline is most definitely not done yet. The last we saw, she’d been arrested during a coup for leadership. False accusations were thrown her way, and the teenagers have all believed the lies. After all, it sounded plausible, right? To those who knew Allie, it shouldn’t have done but there are some who are willing to believe the Guard over their own gut feelings about Allie and her best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Will.
The Society Season 2 would bring us a chance to see those who led the coup taken down. They don’t really understand the first thing about keeping the town alive. While the communist state hasn’t exactly been peachy for everyone, it’s kept everyone alive. Now Grizz and his team have come back with a way to get food and Gordie is slowly figuring out what’s happened.
There’s a chance that a small group of people will be able to help save Allie. Elle can work from the inside, passing messages to Gordie, Kelly, Grizz, and others. We’ll also likely see Allie and Will from inside wherever they’re being kept and, hopefully, Luke will doubt the actions he took. Hey, maybe even Lexie will realize that she was wrong.
Expect Kathryn Newton to be back for The Society Season 2 if the show is renewed.
