God Friended Me is officially returning to CBS in the fall. CBS has set its premiere dates and God Friended Me Season 2 premieres in September.

Getting the news that God Friended Me was renewed for a second season was awesome news. Then we found out it was going to remain in the fall lineup on a Sunday. Now we get an official return date. God Friended Me Season 2 will premiere in September on CBS.

The return date isn’t all that surprising. It coincides with the same week that the first season premiered last year — although the pilot episode was put on social media beforehand for everyone to check out and that probably won’t happen this time. Make sure you get Sept. 29, 2019, in your diary.

It’s going to return at 8:30 p.m. due to NFL running earlier in the day. However, from the following week, it will be back in the 8 p.m. slot. Like the previous season, you’ll want to keep an eye on the NFL double-headers to see when the show will actually air on a Sunday. Be ready to tune in for 8 p.m. but watch out for it running 30 minutes late.

There are certainly plenty of questions for God Friended Me Season 2. The main storyline around Henry, Pria, and Simon was wrapped at the end of the first season but it turned out that none of them were linked to the God Account. So, who’s running it? That’s still the big question.

Now it’s not just Miles who has a connection to the God Account. Someone else got a friend request from God and Miles was the first friend suggestion. What could Miles need help with after finding purpose in life and acceptance that sometimes you don’t need to know who is behind something?

I guess we’ll have to wait until the end of September to find out!
