TV Time users are out in force to help celebrate and support Pride month. This latest poll has all been about the best LGBTQ TV characters right now, with the likes of The 100Shadowhunters, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine getting mentions.

There are certainly some excellent characters that make the list, with many main characters on their respective shows. What makes them so great is that they’re well-rounded characters, offering positive representation.

These characters aren’t “perfect” examples of people. There’s no longer this need to have good TV characters on our screens. Some of these characters have plenty of character flaws, whether they’ve made mistakes in their relationships or they’re naturally evil characters. Many of them are unapologetically flawed, making the point that they’re human.

Then there are the characters that just want to be good. They’re the ones that try to make the right choices but sometimes are put between a rock and a hard place. They do the best they can, with some fans loving or hating their decisions.

TV Time users have cast their votes since the start of January 2019 up until June 12. Up to this point, 43.6 million character votes were cast to find the best LGBTQ TV characters on our screens.
