The Supernatural EPs shared there would should be closure for some Wayward Sisters characters. This is most definitely needed to close the whole series.

When the Supernatural EPs shared that there would likely be closure for the Wayward Sisters characters, the news was met with mixed reactions. Some fans think time would be wasted, but in all honesty, we need some closure for particular storylines in Supernatural Season 15.

Supernatural has become so much more than Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s Dean and Sam over the years. We’ve had Castiel, Jack, Bobby, Jody, Donna, and so many more characters come into the series and become a part of this family. And that’s what it is, a family. You don’t have to like every single character, but it’s unfair to leave character storylines blowing in the wind.

Supernatural Season 14 brought some sort of closure to some storylines. If it wasn’t for the fact of Dark!Kaia being out there somewhere or some questions around that rift and sending Dark!Kaia back, we could probably get away with no closure. Maybe Jody and Donna showing up for one last storyline — like they would leave this final big battle to Team Free Will 2.0! — but there wouldn’t need to be a major storyline surrounding them.

It was Dark!Kaia that made the closure necessary. Right now, she’s still out in the Winchester world without her spear — a spear Dean promised to get back to her. Leaving her out there after the series ends with no resolution would be bad writing. It’s like leaving Jesse in the wind, a storyline that most definitely needs some closure on this season, or Adam stuck in Lucifer’s cage.

While you may think that it’s a waste of time giving a storyline closure, it’s really not. It’s bad writing not to. Sometimes the writing on the series has been questionable. I mean, the whole thing with Heaven crumbling was introduced for an episode in Season 13 and then overlooked for the whole of Season 14 (mentions here and there don’t actually count!).

Do we really want a whole series of plotholes and forgotten storylines? When looking back, we want a series that w can be proud of, that we know was thought about properly. That means closure is needed to as many storylines as possible.

It’s also worth remembering that the Wayward Sisters were important to many fans. While some don’t want to see them again, others do. They wanted that spin-off and have needed some sort of closure to storylines. For the sake of an episode or two out of 20, it’s worth it to that part of the fandom. Let’s think of others in the SPN Family as well, hey?

Bringing closure could even be part of the bigger storylines. Kaia came from a universe God created and abandoned or a universe created because of the other universes God created and abandoned. This isn’t just about the Winchester’s world, but the whole mess that God created with his drafts, which would, in turn, bring in Dark!Kaia and the Wayward Sisters.
