Supernatural Season 15, Episode 3 synopsis: The Winchesters work with Rowena

The synopsis for Supernatural Season 15, Episode 3 is officially out. Sam and Dean turn to their witchy friend to deal with Hell trying to break loose.

We may still be a day away from the Supernatural Season 15 premiere, but the synopsis for Episode 3 is already out. Titled “The Rupture,” here’s a look at what to expect in the episode.

This episode will see Rowena back once more. She’s already the witchy friend the Winchesters turn to in the episode before this, as everyone attempts to prevent souls from being released from Hell. However, it’s so much easier said than done. It looks like the souls have a leader, and now the rest of Hell is about to break loose.

It’s going to be great fun seeing Rowena back with the brothers for two episodes in a row. She’s always a highlight of any season, especially now that she’s made it clear she can’t let the boys die.

Things aren’t looking so great for another friendship. Castiel is unable to “forgive an arrogant betrayal.” I’m assuming that this is going to be Dean’s actions at the end of Season 14. We know that this friendship is on the rocks during, at least, the start of the 15th season.

Castiel and Dean couldn’t see eye to eye on how to deal with Jack. As Jack was struggling to control his powers and control his actions without a soul, he made it clear that he was dangerous to the whole world. Dean wanted to take care of the “monster” Jack had become, but Castiel wanted to continue to find a way to save him.

Naturally, the two aren’t going to just make up after the events of the finale. Dean was so close to killing Jack. Even with the knowledge that God was manipulating everything, it’s a betrayal to Castiel that is going to be difficult to get over.

Another theory, though, is that Castiel sees God’s actions as an arrogant betrayal. We also know Amara is going to return at some point. This episode could be when it happens. Could she be the one that betrays Cass?
