9-1-1 needs to give us more of the Buck/Eddie bromance
The end of the tsunami episodes gave us a bromance that we certainly need more of. 9-1-1 surprised us all. Now can we have more Eddie and Buck?
There is absolutely no doubt that 9-1-1 surprised us all. There were moments during the tsunami episode that we thought Buck might be a goner. For a split second, there was even that fear that Christopher wouldn’t make it, even though we’d seen him and Eddie reunite in a trailer.
In the end, the entire main cast survived the tsunami. What looked like was on the rocks was Buck and Eddie’s friendship. However, Eddie managed to take a step back from the disaster and gain a deeper understanding. There was absolutely no way that Buck could have predicted the tsunami. When that tsunami did hit, Buck did everything he could to help Christopher and never gave up looking for him.

Just as Buck thought that Eddie would never forgive him for the fear and panic he caused, Eddie knocked on the door and dropped Christopher off for Buck to babysit. Eddie still trusts Buck to look after Christopher—although a trip to the zoo or something inland might be a better option than the pier!
Do you remember a time when Buck was threatened by Eddie? I love that the tension between them didn’t stick in the first place and that it isn’t going to stick now. This bromance is one of the greatest platonic relationships in 9-1-1, and we definitely need more of it.

Right now, it shows us that someone can be level-headed. It would have been easy for Eddie to blame Buck for everything. If Christopher had been killed then maybe we would have been having a different conversation here, but everything turned out good. Eddie got his son back, giving him a chance to sit back and evaluate the whole situation.
Out of everyone in the show, Eddie and Christopher are going to be the ones to help Buck out of his current slump. Buck needs both of these guys in his life, which means we need to see more of this bromance on the screen. 9-1-1 needs to give them more time together to see how friendship can do wonders for mental health.
