Arrow, Prodigal Son, and Station 19 all have one thing in common. They’re among the TV shows you need to check out this week, Jan. 20-26.

Getting overwhelmed by everything coming back to TV this week? We’re making it easier to find something to watch whether you love Arrow, prefer something intense like Station 19, or want to try out something completely new.

I try to offer something for everyone in this suggestion of five shows to watch this week. Here are my top picks.

5. Arrow

More from Entertainment

The first on our list is Arrow, which is back after the success of Crisis on Infinite EarthsThis isn’t one of your usual episodes, though. It’s a backdoor pilot for the spin-off featuring Katherine McNamara’s Mia Queen, Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance, and Juliana Harkavy’s Dinah Drake.

For those who are excited to see the Black Canaries fighting together and the three women join a new generation of Arrowverse shows, this is the episode to watch. It will give The CW an idea of just how successful this spin-off could be.

Arrow‘s “Green Arrow & the Canaries” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 8/7c.

4. Riverdale

Another CW series makes it to the list this week. It’s all about Riverdale‘s midseason premiere. Titled “Varsity Blues,” it’s time to get some of the answers to our burning questions. Betty works on a story about the rival schools as Riverdale High and Stonewall Prep face off in the championship football game. Archie learns about Uncle Frank’s troubled past, and Cheryl faces off against new cheerleading coach, Ms. Appleyard.

There’s also some focus on Jughead, who will need to make a choice. Will he choose his friends or his new school?

The episode airs on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 8/7c on The CW.

3. Prodigal Son

The remaining few shows on a break are back this week. Prodigal Son is one of them, returning with a search for Malcolm. The last we saw, he had been kidnapped by the Junkyard Killer. Of course, Malcolm went off without telling Gil and the others, so now it’s a race against time to find him.

Gil turns to The Surgeon for help, while Ainsley and Jessica search through their own memories for any idea as to where Malcolm could be. The FBI and NYPD will be forced to work together, and they’re not going to like it.

Prodigal Son airs tonight, Jan. 20, at 9/8c on FOX.

2. Station 19/Grey’s Anatomy crossover

Technically, this is two TV shows on the list, but it’s a crossover. We’ve had Arrow‘s five-part crossover with the rest of the Arrowverse and now it’s all about the Station 19/Grey’s Anatomy crossover. These episodes also happen to be the Station 19 Season 3 premiere and the Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 winter premiere.

It picks up from where the Grey’s Anatomy winter finale left off. A car has gone into Joe’s bar, distrupting the stability of it. Station 19 will need to work to get the patrons out, which include some of their own and a number of doctors. After that, it will be up to the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial to save as many lives as possible.

The episodes begin on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 8/7c on ABC and it’s a two-hour crossover event.

1. Outmatched

Fans of American Pie‘s Jason Biggs will want to check out the latest comedy to head to FOX. Outmatched gets its series premiere after an episode of Last Man Standing, and you’re not going to want to miss out. Biggs plays a handyman, Mike, and Maggie Lawson plays casino pit boss, Kay, who have three high-IQ children.

The two just want to offer normalcy for their kids. However, being geniuses up against two parents who barely finished high school isn’t easy.

Outmatched premieres on Jan. 23 at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
