Who won the HOH competition on last night’s episode of Big Brother 22?

The Oct. 19 episode of Big Brother 22 devoted more time to talk of childhood talent shows and insecurities than the game, which can only mean one thing, just two weeks left until the finale!

Nevertheless, a new HOH was crowned last night, so there’s still some stuff to talk about. Let’s get into it!

Workin’ on our Knight Moves

Last week, the Final Four HouseGuests got a surprise visit from their former Big Brother 22 HouseGuest, Kaysar Ridha, who introduced this week’s HOH competition “Knight Moves.”

More from CBS

With just four HouseGuests remaining, this HOH competition would be more important than any other, with the winner ensuring their spot in the Final Three.

After sending Memphis out the door, Cody would be hyper-focused on sending Christmas right behind him and clearing his path to the Final Two, and this week’s HOH competition had the power to help him do just that. For this week’s HOH competition, Enzo, Christmas, and Cody would have to move around a life-size chessboard; however, they would only be allowed to move around the board like a knight; one tile vertically and two tiles horizontally or vice versa.

Once a player landed on a tile, that tile would be out of play, and once a player ran out of moves, they would be eliminated from the competition.

Going into the competition, Cody had one goal in mind, work with Enzo to corner Christmas and take the win. To Cody and Nicole’s frustration, however, Enzo would have other plans, not wanting to reveal his true allegiance and choosing instead to let Cody and Christmas duke it out.

So Cody was left to follow Christmas around the board alone. Unfortunately, with Christmas left to play defense, Cody would end up finding his moves limited and find himself getting eliminated from the competition before her. Luckily, he would leave some damage in his wake, and within one more move, Christmas would find herself with nowhere else to go, giving Enzo the win.

One HOH, three potential nominees, who will he choose?

Despite losing, in the DR, Christmas would tell the audience that she felt good about her position in the game with Enzo as HOH. To strengthen her position, she would speak with Enzo later that night, making sure to let him know that if she made it to the Final Three and won the Final HOH competition, she would take him to the Final Two.

Although Enzo would also agree to take her to the Final Two, he would unfortunately not assure her that he’d be leaving her off the block as an initial nominee. However, he would appear to assess his options, realizing that with Cody on the block, he would be the only HouseGuest not to be nominated this season, a point that Christmas would later reiterate.

He would also realize that with Nicole gone, Cody and Christmas would be more likely to take him to the Final Two. Nevertheless, when the time came for the Nomination Ceremony, Christmas would find her picture appearing on the Memory Wall, albeit alongside Nicole.
