Bob’s Burgers: 5 best moments from Bridge Over Troubled Rudy
It’s hard to believe that Season 11 of Bob’s Burgers is coming to a close. In a year ripe with so much to complain about and a lot to be upset about, Bob’s Burgers has been somewhat of a constant for some people. In particular, the show has been constant in featuring some wholesome and fun content especially when it comes to the characters on the show.
While the focus is mostly on the Belcher family, Bob’s Burgers isn’t afraid to branch out and focus on side characters. In previous seasons, we saw episodes focused on Tammy, Zeke and even, the Fishoeders. In Season 11, we’re finally getting another episode focused on another friend of the Belchers and that’s Regular-Sized Rudy. Even though his name might sound odd, Rudy is regular-sized so it makes sense.
As far as side characters go, Rudy is a character the show uses just the right amount. We see him pop up in the background sometimes but when he’s in the spotlight, Rudy shines. It’s been a while since he’s been at the forefront, though.
It would only be right for Rudy to finally reappear in Season 11 and hopefully, be able to breathe the entire time. If not, it wouldn’t be anything new.
Before talking about the episode, there will be spoilers from the Season 11 Bob’s Burgers episode, “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy.”
If you haven’t watched the episode, be sure to watch it and then return so we can talk about our favorite moments. With that being said, let’s dive into the best moments from “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy.”
These are the five best moments from Bob’s Burgers episode, “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy.”
Rudy introduces Louise to the bridge
The first unforgettable moment starts when the Belcher kids head over to Regular-Sized Rudy’s dad’s house so Tina can take care of his plants. When they get to the house, Rudy shows Louise and Gene a model bridge that he and his dad built that’s made to be blown up.
Louise tries to convince Rudy to blow it up but he won’t budge and it results in the two of them getting into a small fight with Louise calling Rudy a weenie. It’s such a fun way to start the episode off.

Louise has an idea
The next unforgettable moment from “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy” is when Louise decides to come up with her own idea. After talking to Rudy and seeing how exciting he is about his bridge, she decides to take it upon herself to try and deliver the bridge to his mom’s house.
While he didn’t explicitly state that, Louise doesn’t seem to care and starts to form a plan that no doubt will end up resulting in disaster for both Louise and the bridge.
The trials of bridge transportation
The third unforgettable moment from the episode has to be when Louise explains the plan to Gene and Tina. She wants to use their bikes to balance the model and then find a way to walk it over to Rudy’s Mom’s house. It seems decent at best especially since Louise and Gene couldn’t even pick it up although Tina is quick to help them.
They decide to work together and the plan unsurprisingly goes awry with everything seemingly getting in their way including sprinklers, bumps on the sidewalk, and eventually, the road to Rudy’s mom’s house is closed. The only way around is to go on a bumpy trail, resulting in the bridge almost getting destroyed.
Bob’s meditation breakthrough
The fourth moment comes when Bob, Linda, Mort, and Teddy decide to meditate together. It doesn’t work at first for Bob who can’t seem to get out of his own thoughts with little different versions of Bob popping up.
Eventually, Bob starts to feel something and has a short little daydream where he’s finally able to relax and sees how impactful meditation can be. As for Linda and Teddy, the two of them fell asleep rather than actually feeling anything.
The bridge finally explodes
The final unforgettable moment from “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy” is when Rudy decides to blow up the bridge with the Belcher kids there. Louise tries to be chill about it but it’s obvious she’s incredibly excited.
When the bridge finally explodes, it’s a little bit anti-climatic and it also results in Louise apologizing to Rudy after she called him a weenie and for being a bad friend to him. The episode ends at such a sweet moment and it’s nice to see Louise and Rudy’s friendship is still going strong.
Bob’s Burgers airs Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
