Bob’s Burgers: 5 moments from Tell Me Dumb Thing Good
Season 11 of Bob’s Burgers has been ripe with dumb and hilarious moments. Even though the season is almost over, the series has featured its fair share of dumb moments. Thus far, we have watched as Linda got arrested for pooping in public, Gene ended up with his very own pandemic and Tina fell in love with a voice on a tape. That’s not even the tip of the iceberg, though.
Even so, Bob’s Burgers manages to pull it off every time. No matter how dumb or unlikely the event might seem, the series does not trivialize things. Rather, the show makes things seem a lot funnier and less embarrassing than they might be in real life. The show manages to treat even the most ridiculous storylines with love and care.
Heading towards the end of Season 11 though, things seem like they would be cooling down, but you never know with the Belchers. Especially with a title like “Tell Me Dumb Thing Good,” then there is no telling what kind of shenanigans the family will get into. Honestly, the title really does not give much to go off but that’s the fun of the show, I suppose.

These are the five best moments from the Bob’s Burgers episode “Tell Me Dumb Thing Good.”
Linda’s trashcan fashion
It’s clear from how things start in the episode that Linda is going to be the central focus so it would only be right to start with her trashcan fashion moment. We learn about a trashcan on Harbor Road that people like to decorate. Linda wants to get in on the fun and decides to give it little shoes. It’s a little bit off-the-wall, but then again, Linda doesn’t exactly go with the flow.

As predicted, Linda’s shoes end up being the crux of the episode and the next unforgettable moment comes when Teddy calls Linda. He tells her that the shoes were taken off the can so she goes back to put more on and tapes them this time.
Later that day, Teddy comes to the restaurant and explains that the shoes are gone again. Once again, Linda is determined to not let her idea die and decides to go back and put shoes on the trashcan again.
Linda’s nemesis returns
To try and figure out who keeps throwing out the shoes, Linda and the kids decide to have a stakeout. They aren’t waiting around for very long when the person who put the “No Vandalism” sign shows up and it’s none other than Cynthia, Linda’s old nemesis. She explains that the Pretzel Kingdom is looking at the building where the trash can is and Linda declares that she won’t stop until she’s dead.
Bob’s cucumber song
While Linda has taken up a majority of the episode, there was a small B-plotline with Bob becoming obsessed with a guy who is growing cucumbers in his basement. Bob watches for his posts every day and it all comes to a head when the guy posts a fully grown cucumber. It’s great until the guy stops posting and Bob sings a song about how he wants to know what happened to the cucumber.
A Mother’s Day plan
While Linda decides to try and get people to go to the city council meeting, the kids decide to try and get the trash can vandalism bill eliminated as a Mother’s Day present for Linda. They decide to try and convince the members of the city council, but it doesn’t work. Eventually, Louise comes up with a plan to crash the meeting by inviting people with the promise of moving boxes, but she uses them to talk about how fun the trash can is and ultimately, win over the council while Bob gets to meet the cucumber guy in person.
Bob’s Burgers airs Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
