Last night’s episode of American Idol certainly pulled on our heartstrings as the eliminations based on our votes at home began when the season’s Top 26 returned to Hollywood to become the Top 20.

We had to say goodbye to six talented hopefuls in the ABC competition. Those were Dawson Wayne, Platinum ticket winner Elijah McCormick, Elise Kristine, Emma Busse, Malik Heard, and PJAE. Fan-favorites like Colin Stough, Paige Anne, and Nutsa all remained safe (for now) and will continue on in the competition. We’ll find out tonight if they make it into the Top 12!

Yesterday’s episode was a whooping three hours, 60 minutes longer than the usual episodes. With a new one tonight, how much time do you need to set aside to watch the Top 20 become the Top 12? We’ve got the answer for you below!
