The Emmy nomination reactions keep rolling in! Watch Chrissy Metz and Ron Cephas Jones celebrate their first ever nods for ‘This Is Us.’

More from This Is Us

We’re one day removed from the day that minted This Is Us and a handful of its cast members official Emmy nominees. With 11 total nominations, the NBC series — the only broadcast drama nominated for the big honor — stood as one of the leading titles vying for Emmy gold in September. What’s more, some of it’s stars landed their first ever nominations: Milo Ventimiglia, Gerald McRaney, Ron Cephas Jones, and Chrissy Metz.

Although we have already heard from a number of This Is Us’ stars regarding the show’s grand entrance into the awards circuit, it took a minute for fans to see Chrissy Metz and Ron Cephas Jones react to their nominations. Metz and Jones, who are each nominated in the supporting categories for a drama series, eschewed the typical written statement for more personal one-on-one videos shared directly to the loyal fans of their show. Along with Chrissy Metz and Ron Cephas Jones, fan favorite guest star Gerald McRaney (a.k.a. Dr. K) offered his sweet words in response to the high honor of being a first-time Emmy nominee!

Chrissy Metz, who also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Kate late last year, couldn’t believe her Emmy nomination, according to an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly. Well, you better believe it, Chrissy! And better yet, word on the street is that Chrissy Metz is a front-runner in her category. Our tear ducts simply aren’t prepared for September. Watch Metz celebrate her nomination in the adorable clip below.

Ron Cephas Jones, who more than deserved a nod for his stellar work as Randall’s ailing birth father Randall, joined Chrissy Metz in doling out the appreciation for his Emmy nomination. Jones says he’s blessed and happy, but we’d argue that we’re the blessed and happy ones for getting to witness his greatness.

Gerald McRaney, who plays Jack and Rebecca’s superhero/life coach Dr. K, also reacted to his nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. And guess what? His sincere gratitude for being recognized for his work on This Is Us is almost as emotional as his work on This Is Us. Check out McRaney’s video below.
