Will Michael!Dean have more screentime than Deanmon on Supernatural?
Supernatural Season 14 will bring Jensen Ackles the chance to play someone other than Dean. The question now is how long will he get to play this character?
If you mention Deanmon to many Supernatural fans, you’ll get a groan. We waited the whole summer for the character and got three whole episodes with him. And none of them really showed the true potential of Demon!Dean. Now that Jensen Ackles gets to play a new character in the form of Michael!Dean, we have to question just how long he will stick around.
There isn’t much in the way of high hopes for the character considering the past. The only real benefit to Supernatural Season 14 is that we don’t have a milestone three episodes into the season, unlike the 10th season. The whole reason we needed Dean back to normal was to make an epic and memorable fan service for the 200th episode, which came in the form of “Fan Fiction.”

Really, Deanmon’s storyline was badly planned out. It was as if the writers had come up with an awesome idea only to panic when they realized how many episodes in Season 10 they had to work with. Then they suddenly needed to quickly change their plan and never revisited the idea of Dean as a demon.
While the 14th season will see the 300th episode, it’s not until the 13th episode. That does mean plenty of time to tell the Michael!Dean storyline. Maybe we could have Sam, Cass, and Jack saving Dean from Michael in this milestone episode.

Even if it can’t be the 300th episode that Dean is saved, there’s a chance that it could be the midseason finale. That’s usually around Episode 8 or 9, so there is a chance that we have a good amount of episodes to see Ackles take on this new role and see just what Michael can do.
And it’s about time we get to see Michael in real action. It’s just a shame it didn’t happen when Christian Keyes was playing him.
