Sin City showed us that sometimes evil isn’t just because of demons and monsters. Here are the best lines from Supernatural Season 3, Episode 4.

Monsters and demons don’t always cause the evil in the world. They just take advantage of it. That’s exactly what happened in Supernatural Season 3, Episode 4. Two demons rolled into a town that was full of the deadly sins. It’s a shame the Seven Deadly Sins weren’t still around to enjoy it.

Sam and Dean learned a great deal. Well, mainly Dean, who learned that there was a bigger plan Azazel had in mind. Oh, and we can’t forget that this was the point he learned of Azazel’s real name. Here’s a look at the six best lines from the episode, “Sin City.”

Ah, no. I got nothing. Oh, wait a minute. You mean as in demons and whatnot?

Sometimes you have to wonder how a guy becomes a hunter. That was the case with Richie. Just what led him into the hunting life? He didn’t seem completely cut out for it. This line made it clear that he wasn’t really there for the demons after all. He was taking full advantage of the sin in the city.

I make a mean hurricane

There’s a double meaning to this line, which is why it now stands out to me. Casey is talking about the drink. At least, that’s what it seems. Is it possible that she’s actually hinting that she’s a demon? She certainly makes a good earthquake. Are hurricanes something else she can do?

Hey, speaking of downstairs… what’s it like down there?

We started to see more of Dean’s thoughts about what he’d done to save Sam. After a few episodes of him having fun and making the most of life, he knew what he was facing. Trapped in a room with a demon, he decided to take advantage and learn a few truths about where his soul was heading. It wasn’t good.

What, you think his friends just called him ‘yellow eyes’? He had a name.

Now it seems strange to think of a demon without a name. We never do learn all the real names of the demons, but after two years of calling Azazel “yellow eyes,” we finally learned his true name. It would take a lot longer to learn about the Princes of Hell. That’s if Azazel was supposed to be a Prince of Hell to start with. This was just a humorous way to make us all go, “well duh!”

You’re gonna have to do things that go against that gentle nature of yours. There’ll be collateral damage… But, it has to be done.

There’s much more of a meaning in this now. Ruby played Sam from the very beginning. I hoped she hadn’t played him, but looking back it’s clear how she’s getting into his mind and making him believe that she’s going to help. This is one of those lines. There are certainly things that will go against his nature, including drinking demon blood.
