Supernatural Season 14 the end? Jim Michaels weighs in

When Jim Michaels tweeted out that production on Supernatural Season 14 was starting, questions started about whether the season was the last. He weighed in with the new he has.

Is Supernatural Season 14 the end? This is a question many fans are asking, especially when they found out that the season would only have 20 episodes. When Jim Michaels shared that production had officially started, fans naturally took the chance to ask him if the show was canceled after this season. He did weigh in on the subject, shutting down rumors extremely quickly.

Of course, we know Michaels wouldn’t be able to say anything if he knew if the 14th season was the end, this is way too early to tell. The shows that are definitely coming to an end on The CW after their upcoming seasons have already been confirmed. iZombie, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jane the Virgin were all renewed for their final seasons. Supernatural definitely wasn’t on that list.

It sounds like there are absolutely no discussions about this yet. Jim Michaels shared that Supernatural Season 14 being the end would be news to him and the SPN team. That’s all we need to know that 20 episodes in the season doesn’t mean The CW is trying to bring the longest-running show on the network to an end.

Of course, nobody can tell what the future holds. However, Mark Pedowitz has routinely said that the series has a home on the network for as long as it wants. It will end when the stars decide to leave or when the ratings drop. There’s a way to go for the latter since the series is one of the highest rated shows on the network. I think we can trust Michaels in that he and the team haven’t heard the series is coming to an end.
