Supernatural Season 3, Episode 7 may have involved the showdown between Sam and Gordon, but who had the best lines? Here’s a look at the five top from the episode.

In Supernatural Season 3, Episode 7, titled “Fresh Blood,” Sam and Gordon finally had the chance to go up against each other. It was a poetic end for Gordon, who was turned into the creature he most despised. When Kubrick found out, all Gordon wanted was a chance to kill Sam. Of course, it would be interesting to find out if Gordon would have stuck to that if it happened.

There weren’t as many funny lines as in previous episodes. However, there were some important ones that quickly wrapped up the story and foreshadowed the future. Here are the five best lines from “Fresh Blood.”

Sam Winchester’s the Antichrist.

When trying to find out the Winchesters’ location from Bela, Gordon made it clear why he was after them. Of course, Bela didn’t believe him. Now that I know how Bela’s story ends, I’m curious as to whether she just didn’t believe Gordon or knew all about who Sam was destined to be. She’s one of those people who would have plenty of information stored away. Regardless, she didn’t believe him but the importance of this line was to let us know the “Antichrist” would show up eventually–and Sam wasn’t it.

Listen to my voice and tell me if I’m serious.

This line from Dean reminds me of one from Supernatural Season 12. Remember in the woods when he made it clear to the secret agents that the worst thing for them was being stuck out there with the Winchesters? Well, it wasn’t surprising to hear Dean talk like that, because it all started very early on. When Dean means business, he makes it extremely clear.

It’s the only… it is the one good thing to come out of this nightmare. I’m stronger, I’m faster – I can finish him.

To Gordon, being turned into a vampire is a nightmare for him. This isn’t that surprising considering the reason he became a hunter. It’s always been a mission against these creatures and now he’s going to end is life as one. I’m still curious as to whether Gordon would have allowed himself to be killed if he did manage to kill Sam Winchester.

Yeah, I’ve been following you around my entire life! I mean, I’ve been looking up to you since I was four, Dean. Studying you, trying to be just like my big brother. So yeah, I know you.

This whole scene between the Winchesters is one of my favorite moments of the whole of Supernatural Season 3. All Sam wants is his brother back. This isn’t just a case of saving Dean from the deal, but to actually get his brother back as his brother. And he wants Dean to be honest. We get an insight into Sam when he was younger, always looking up at Dean. While it sometimes feels like they’re polar opposites, Sam has always been Dean’s biggest fan.

You should know how to fix it. You’re gonna need to know these things for the future. And besides, that’s my job, right? Show my little brother the ropes?

Finally, we get the moment that we’ve needed for the whole season; Sam and Dean get to bond. It’s all over Baby, which is absolutely perfect for the show. After all, she is part of the family. Dean makes it clear that he wants to make sure the two most important people (because Baby is far more than a car) in his life look after one another.
