Andrew Dabb interview: 300th episode, balancing the character storylines, and second chances
Andrew Dabb stopped by for a roundtable interview at SDCC. During that interview, he discussed some of the things to come for Supernatural Season 14, including the 300th episode and more focus on other characters.
Supernatural has grown considerably since the very beginning. It’s no longer just about two brothers on the road, hunting down every monster, creature, and ghost they can. Ten years ago, Castiel stole the hearts of fans, Bobby is back for more, we now have Jack thrown into the mix, and there are so many others. Andrew Dabb shared at SDCC during a roundtable interview, which FanSided Entertainment Director Cody Schultz was involved in, all about Supernatural Season 14 and how it will look.
Of course, he had to hold back some of the spoilers. While he shared that Michael!Dean and Rowena will get some screentime together, he couldn’t share how or why.

He also shared that Michael is going to be slightly different to the one we saw in Season 13. While that Michael was the ruler of the world, he wasn’t happy about the outcome of the apocalypse. He has a second chance in this new world. We already knew he’d have to put together a new plan, but it looks like he has a different goal.

There were also conversations about how Supernatural Season 14 will look. This is going to be a shorter season, but what does that mean for standalone, monster-of-the-week episodes? Well, don’t count them out. However, there are more characters to focus on now and more storylines to develop. What is a standalone, could actually be character development for specific people, such as Castiel, Jack, Mary and Bobby, Charlie, and more.
And, of course, there were talks of Episode 300. That’s the 13th episode of the season and Andrew Dabb gave us a little hint of the things to come. Expect this to be a cross between Episode 100 and Episode 200, with a look at what other people in Lebanon, Kansas think of the Winchester brothers.
