Adventure Time: 4 shows to watch after the series wraps up
3. OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes
Once again, this is another show from an Adventure Time alum. Created by Ian Jones-Quartey, OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes is a close second as one of the best shows created by a former Adventure Time employee. In addition, Jones-Quartey also works on the Steven Universe team.

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes follows KO getting a job at a bodega and working to become the greatest hero ever. Paired with Rad and Enid, the three maintain a delicate balance between goofing off, working and fighting. While KO, Rad, and Enid are the main focus of the show, there’s a plethora of awesome side characters and family members who make frequent appearances.
It’s the perfect blend of an action cartoon, a comedy, and a sitcom. Since premiering in 2017, the show has garnered a good following. Similar to fellow cartoons on the network, it doesn’t just focus on the action.
Throughout the series OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes has gone from being completely action-driven to character-driven. Some episodes have followed KO’s emotional journey to control himself, Enid’s possible relationship with another female hero and Rad falling for another character.
The show also has a crossover coming up this fall. If you like the action and comedy mix of Adventure Time, this is a perfect follow-up. There’s also plenty of character-driven episodes and moments as well.
