Can anyone really save Heaven right now in Supernatural?
There’s a problem in Heaven. Supernatural Season 14, Episode 8 sees us return there but there’s a major question: can anyone really save that place?
Supernatural Season 13 introduced the fact that Heaven was dying. With all the killed angels, there isn’t enough to power the place. Plot hole aside, it looks like Season 14 may finally be going back to that.
Episode 8 will see Castiel in Heaven. He’s needed for some sort of issue up there, and it’s likely attached to the fact that Heaven is crumbling. While some may think the angels don’t need help, there are many innocent souls who will end up as spirits on Earth and that could cause other issues. So, really, it is a problem that needs solving.

Can anyone actually solve it? Naomi has said that an archangel is needed and there’s only one of them currently walking the Earth. And this archangel isn’t even from this world! Michael isn’t exactly going to be interested in running Heaven. He’s already made it clear that the angels are too human and he’s looking at building his monster army.
The only real option could be to promote an angel to archangel status. That is if that’s even possible. If Michael is powering up the monsters, can the angels be powered up too? Is this something God or Amara will be needed for? If so, couldn’t God just create more angels instead?

Right now, it looks like there isn’t any hope. Fortunately, no more angels have died so far, but will that change in Episode 8? Is this what calls Castiel to Heaven? Will one angel die leading to a major power failure to make this problem the immediate one to solve?
