Last week on The Gifted, we saw Andy return to his family by the persuasion of Lorna, who also re-joined Marcos and the rest of what is left of the mutant underground. If you haven’t seen the episode or want a recap of events that took place, you can check out our review at this link.
The bottom line is that after the defection, things are about to go haywire. (Spoilers) Lorna and Andy have now become Reeva’s number 1 target.

The trailer for the season finale shows what appears to be a clash between the two mutant groups. So it is unlikely that Reeva’s plans to take down the government will proceed as scheduled in this episode. Instead, we’re headed for war. The purifiers and Thunderbird also get into it, so it’s possible we see everybody put on the gloves and go at it here.
Comicbook.com reports there will indeed be chaos in the form of a solid ending that can take a lot of different turns should the show continue — which has been discussed as being most likely in a streaming format instead of on Fox.
But there’s really no telling what will take place in this episode. The whole show has been a steady progression of increasing tension with explosive moments throughout, but this is likely where the iceberg will tip over. Oh, and just for the record, I’m not counting out Blink from returning this episode.
