Supernatural is finishing a little earlier than we’re used to. Rather than getting into the month of May, we’re going into the last summer Hellatus in April. We can already get an idea of what to expect in the season finale with the Supernatural Season 14, Episode 20 synopsis already available.

Airing on Apr. 25, this is an episode that will set up the final season storyline. However, it will also help to wrap up some of the bigger storylines from Season 14.

If you want to avoid all spoilers then you’ll want to skip this post. I can recommend a post about the best episodes of the series ever if you haven’t already checked it out.

The good news is there are no spoilers of things to come. This is purely about focusing on the individual episode.

Before I go on, here’s the official Supernatural Season 14, Episode 20 synopsis from The CW:

"ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE ON A SHOCKING SEASON FINALE – Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are thrown into an epic battle. Meanwhile, Jack (Alexander Calvert) becomes disenchanted with all the lies, and an old friend from the past shows up. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb."

Things aren’t looking great for our favorite characters. There’s some “epic battle” coming up and it doesn’t sound like it involves Jack. So, if it doesn’t involve him, who will it involve? I’m assuming that someone is coming into the story in Episode 19 and it’s that storyline that will bleed into the finale.

Could we also find out that Apocalypse Michael was never fully destroyed? That storyline did seem a little anticlimactic after everything that had happened, so it seems possible that he could come back.

Meanwhile, it’s all about Jack. He’s been told plenty of lies over time. Of course, a lot of those lies have been to keep him safe or because they’re not something he should worry about. Yet, the lies are going to come back to bite everyone in the butt.

What’s intriguing is that an “old friend from the past” shows up. We knew that a familiar face would appear in the Supernatural Season 14 finale. We’ve suspected Garth and God so far, but could it be someone else? Is it possible it’s someone like Kevin, our own Bobby, or even someone from the earlier seasons?

There are so many questions based on this episode synopsis. There isn’t long now until we get our answers.
