Fear the Walking Dead returns for Season 5! What new dangers await the group now that they appear to be settling down and forming a community?
The end of Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 told us the group could potentially save lives by drinking alcoholic beverages, and they were not going back to Alexandria like originally planned. Now their mission is to help people. They’re part community outreach, part CB enthusiasts, and majority philanthropic organization.
The tallest blade of grass gets cut first, however, and all that visibility is sure to bring about hordes of zombies, new villains, and dangerous groups with which to contend.
What we want to see this season
Enough of the dirty, musty, my-world-ended-so-now-I’m-evil-lady. Enough. This group needs to either go full CLEAR, or get on with the post-apocalyptic Red Cross mission. The introduction of a new adversary is mandatory, even if it’s minor.
This show needs to get back to the title, and the fear of zombies across the world. And if a series of videos happen to be shown chronicling the stories of various people living through this hell, then so be it. (i.e. Show some of the tapes or stop talking about it.)

Also, enough with the tip-toe routine. Make June and Dorie an official couple. Stop making her hesitant. She has to know he’s the best thing she’s going to find in this type of insane world. And while we’re feeling all touchy-feely, let’s go ahead and further cement the idea of those two as Charlie’s surrogate parents.
Last but not least, please, for the love of all that is holy, throw in a minor plot device that explains where all the diesel and oil is coming from, because the ZA was a while ago and big rigs don’t run on despair.
New blood enters/returns
Before anyone says it, Madison (Kim Dickens) is done. Dead. Kaput. A goner.
The only reason we should be seeing her on Fear the Walking Dead is if she appears as a crispy walker, looking more like Deadpool sans-costume than the old “leader” everyone knows. And if that happens, a zombified, post-skydiving accident Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) may as well drag his lower body onscreen.
Aside from the Madison return nearly nobody wants, there appears to be at least three “additions” this season. First and foremost, despite refutations saying otherwise, an IMDB page appears to suggest Troy (Daniel Sharman) is returning to the show. He’ll no doubt be nursing a skull fracture from the last time we saw him.
Additionally, season previews have shown the definite return of Daniel Salazar, thankfully. He’s a sight for sore eyes, even if Strand nearly soils himself when the pair reunite.
Speaking of reunions, there are now two members of The Walking Dead on Fear the Walking Dead. Dwight has officially crossed over, running into his former frenemy Morgan.
Tune in to find out who crashes the plane (probably Dwight), who puts a gun to John Dorie’s head (still Dwight), and who’s wearing the HAZMAT suit (same).
